PIPS starts Second Annual 6 weeks National Management Development Course for Parliamentary Functionaries

    Inaugurated by the Honorable Deputy Chairman Senate/ Vice President PIPS BoG, Molana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, PIPS Second National Management Development Course nears its completion. The six weeks long course is being attended by 26 officer of grade 17-18 from Senate, National Assembly, four provincial assemblies as well as legislative assemblies of Gilgit-Balitistan and AJ&K and PIPS. A number of seasoned professionals deliberated on a broad range of topics including (but not limited to) IT skills assessment and orientation, office correspondence, constitutional history of Pakistan, Parliament and its functioning, legislative process, essential writing skills, committees rules of procedure, public policy, governance model, budget etc. Special Assistant to the Prime Minster on Parliamentary Affairs, Barrister Zafarullah, led a captivating session on “Essence of Federalism and 18th Amendment.” Executive Director PIPS, Muhammad Rashid Mafzool Zaka, carried series of sessions on “Parliamentary Research,” which will be followed by individual presentations by the participants during the concluding week of the course.
