Clerks of the Senate Training Course with IBA Karachi (October 03 to November 16, 2016)

    Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) hosted a training course for energetic young associates working as the Clerks of the Senate held by Institute for Business Administration IBA and Senate of Pakistan. It was a four weeks long training session commenced on October 3, 2016, which covered basic and crucial content including constitutional development and Parliamentary practices. The Honourable Chairman Senate of Pakistan Mian Raza Rabbani inaugurated the course and encouraged participants to learn the wide array of absorbing parliamentary aspects and areas, which would help Clerks to work at the Senate. Secretary Senate Mr Amjed Pervez Malik also spoke of the occasion and highlighted the various initiatives taken by Senate in the profound leadership of Mian Raza Rabbani, Honourable Chairman Senate of Pakistan, to engage the youth of Pakistan to understand the role and working of the Parliament.

    For the start, seasoned IBA faculty conducted session for the Clerks of the Senate to enlighten them with key tips and techniques for personal grooming. They were also acquainted with key topics such as legislation process in Pakistan, Financial management in Parliament, innovative research for growth, legislative drafting, conflict resolution and negotiating skills.

    All the participants appreciated the productive and momentous course delivered by Institute of Business Administration (IBA, Karachi) along with the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services PIPS in guidance of Senate of Pakistan.
