Capacity building event for the Officers of Provincial Assembly of Punjab: April 26-29, 2016:

    Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services organized Capacity Building event for the Officers of Provincial Assembly of Punjab in Lahore. Organized in two separate groups, Group 1 - April 26-27 and Group 2 - April 28-29, the event was aimed at enabling the participants to improve their presentation skills. Thirty two officers of the Provincial Assembly, 16 in each group, participated in the capacity building workshop. As per PIPS prestigious tradition, the event began with the recitation of Holy Quran. Director Training PIPS, Ms. Samer Awais, gave welcome remarks and inquired about the expectations the participants owed from the workshop. On Day one of each group seasoned trainer Syed Furqan Shamsi, CEO GUGGU Consultants, deliberated on “Presentation Skills” and highlighted some of the key prerequisites essential for good presentation skills. While Day two of each group was dedicated for individual presentations, enabling the participants to present on topic of their own choice while the facilitator, Syed Furqan Shamsi, evaluated and provided constructive feedback on the participants’ individual presentations. 
    The closing ceremony, held jointly for both the cohorts, was graced with the presence of Honorable Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, who greatly appreciated the role of PIPS in providing research and training services to the Honorable Parliamentarians in a timely and efficient manner, and distributed certificates among the participants. On behalf of Executive Director PIPS, Additional Director (HR) PIPS, Mir Shai Mazar Baloch, presented vote of thanks at the end of the event, which came about as a result of the efforts of PIPS training wing.
