    A day long seminar was organized by Institute for Strategic Studies, Islamabad. Sardar Awais Khan Leghari, Chairmen, NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, presided as the Chief Guest, and a distinguished panel comprising Senator Farhat Ullah Babar, MNAs Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Ms Marvi Memon, Ambassador Masood Khan, DG ISS, Ambassador Khalid, President ISS, Mr Bilal Mehboob, PLDAT and Mr Muhammad Rashid Mafzool Zaka, Acting Executive Director, PIPS, spoke on imperatives of Pakistan’s foreign policy – role of Parliament. PIPS presentation highlighted the initiatives taken by Standing Committees on foreign policies in Senate and National Assembly in reviewing, guiding and oversighting foreign policy of the country through informed research-based knowledge support provided by Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services as well as interns from leading Pakistani universities.
