Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services organized a session on working of PIPS for Officers of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. The session was organized as part of the National Capacity Building Workshop by Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal. Around 40 officers of grade 17-18 from across Pakistan attended the briefing session about the working and functions of PIPS.
The session began with National Anthem of Pakistan. Qari Anees recited verses from the Holy Quran followed by recitation of Na’at by Ms. Warda Kazmi. Ms. Fakiha Mahmood welcomed the participants and conducted a round of brief introductions.
Executive Director PIPS, Muhammad Rashid Mafzool Zaka highlighted the core values, objectives and functions of PIPS while conducting the session of working of PIPS. He briefed the participants about the organizational structure and the functions and mandate of each wing and department of PIPS. The participants were also made aware of the services the institution offers to the Honorable Parliamentarians as well as the function of out-reach mandated to generate awareness and better understanding of the working of Parliament.
Ms. Tehseen Khalid, Deputy Director (Research) PIPS briefed the participants about the research and legislative services PIPS offers to the Parliamentarians as well as the different research products the institute generates.
Presenting remarks as the Head of Delegation, Mr. Muzaffar Hussain, Deputy Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, thanked the leadership of PIPS for hosting the officers of National Capacity Building Workshop and highlighting the services provided by PIPS to the Honorable Parliamentarians.
Executive Director, Mr. Muhammad Rashid Mafzool Zaka presented a set of PIPS publications to the Head of Delegation. The event concluded with a group photo. The session was moderated by Ms. Fakiha Mahmood, Research Officer. The Young Parliamentary Officers Ms. Laraib Kiani and Ms. Adeela Shahzadi played instrumental role as members of organizing team.
