Monthly Coordination meeting between PIPS and MuP (Mustehkam Parlimaan) was held on 7th March, 2025 at PIPS Islamabad. Mr. Taj Muhammad, Deputy Director (CB & D) PIPS, moderated the meeting. He welcomed the MuP team on behalf of the Worthy Executive Director, Mr. Asim Khan Goraya. Mr Aizaz Asif, MuP, gave review on the Work Plan of the project extension period, March 2025 to February 2026.
Discussions focused on outlining plans for the extension phase. While reviewing the Work Plan, MuP informed that additional requests from Provincial Assemblies have also been incorporated. Key priorities include finalizing and implementing strategic plans across all six Legislatures. National conference on sensitization on Constitutionalism aimed at strengthening constitutional awareness and promoting democratic stability is also part of the events. Progress on the PIPS’ Learning Management System (LMS) project was assessed, with updates provided on content development, platform integration, and demonstration and dissemination plan.
The meeting concluded with agreement on several action points, including expediting approvals for pending activities, engaging parliamentary leadership to ensure ownership of key initiatives, prioritizing research and capacity-building events and resolving LMS project’s financial challenges. Both PIPS and MuP teams reaffirmed their commitment to continue close coordination for better service delivery to the Legislatures in Pakistan.
