PIPS engaged in the National conference for reviewing the Provincial Youth Policies in order to allow country’s youth to play their due role in progress of the country. Members of Parliament, Senators, MNAs, MPAs and youth Ministers of provinces as well as AJK and Gilgit Baltistan and more than 350 students from all over Pakistan attended the thematic sessions on each province. Young Parliamentary Forum YPF, Bargad Pakistan, UNFPA and PIPS joined in the effort to hold absorbing conference at Margala Hotel Islamabad. Director Research and IT Mr Muhammad Rashid Mafzool Zaka and Addl. Director Mr Muhammad Aslam Waseem conducted respective sessions on South Policy of Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan. In the Sindh Policy Forum Mr Muhammad Rashid Secretary Youth Affairs Sindh, Senator Mian Ateeq, Mr Khurram Shahzad (CWS Asia), Mr Noor Bajeer (CSSP, Hyderabad), Mr Umair (social worker) and Mr Zaka reiterated the need to pass a resolution that Sindh Youth Policy must be approved forth with and put forth in front of Provincial Assembly of Sindh. Resources must be allocated and continuity of institutional memory on youth matters must be ensured while Youth must engage with MPAs by writing to standing committee members so that Youth policy 2015 is approved and implemented. In session of Gilgit Baltistan MNA Maiza Hameed, Mr Ali Salman, Ms Najam us Sehar (youth activist) and Syed Haji, Secretary Youth Affairs participated.
